    Short version: RouteBeam does not collect, store, or share any personal data. All location data stays on your device and goes directly to your watch via Bluetooth.
  

What RouteBeam Does

RouteBeam is a mobile app for Android that allows you to share location waypoints from Google Maps to your Garmin Fenix 7 smartwatch via Bluetooth through the Garmin Connect IQ Mobile SDK.

Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Specifically:

We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information
We do not collect or store location data on any server
We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs
We do not serve advertisements
No account or registration is required to use RouteBeam

Location Data

When you share a location from Google Maps using RouteBeam:

Location coordinates are processed locally on your device
Coordinates are transmitted directly to your paired Garmin watch via Bluetooth
No location data is sent to any external server by RouteBeam
Waypoint history is stored only locally on your device and can be cleared anytime

If Google Maps geocoding is used to resolve a place name to coordinates, this request is sent to Google Maps API under Google's own Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Third-Party Services

Garmin Connect IQ Mobile SDK — for Bluetooth communication with your Garmin watch. Subject to Garmin's Privacy Policy
Google Maps Geocoding API — optionally used to convert place names to coordinates. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
Expo / React Native — app framework. No data is collected by the framework in this app

Data Storage

RouteBeam stores waypoint history locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time from within the app.

Children's Privacy

RouteBeam does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
